  3. Cloud Computing is… Simply stated, Cloud Computing is the ability to store your information on a server or servers at a remote location. This can be the information from a person’s individual hard drive (files, documents, applications, photographs and videos) or a business’s customer database, billing and financial records and other “stuff” I can’t wrap my head around! In a sense, cloud computing provides the ability to “back up” all of your information is a secure, remote location.

  4. Cloud Computing Chancery, Grade Speed and Alexandria, HISD's library automation system, are examples of cloud computing with which you might be familiar.   Other examples are Google Docs, Dropbox, Airset, Edmodo and Zoho.

You can save them for reviewing and editing at a later time. You can allow multiple users to  edit, these documents.  This would be a great way to post assignments and projects online and encourage collaboration among students. You could also work on projects with colleagues from anywhere in the world.

Needed to work on a document or ppt that's on your work computer and you're at home? •  Other options: • Mozy, https://mozy.com/home/pricing/ • Drop.io, http://bit.ly/aBWQys
