  1. HYPOTHESIS The allele for Knobbed Antenna is dominant and the allele for Bent Antenna is recessive. HYPOTHESIS The allele for Black Wing Colour is dominant and allele for green wing colour is recessive. Wing Colour and AntennaSuresh Nadarajan & Senthil Kumar • Null Hypothesis : • There is no significant difference between the observed and the expected values • Alternative Hypothesis : • There is significant difference between the observed and the expected values • For 1 degree of freedom, • the 2 value of 0.963 and the two tailed P value is 0.3265, • allowing us to conclude that the deviation is statistically insignificant and due to chance alone. • Accept null hypothesis. • Null Hypothesis : • There is no significant difference between the observed and the expected values • Alternative Hypothesis : • There is significant difference between the observed and the expected values • For 1 degree of freedom, • the 2 value of 0.57and the two tailed P value is 0.5700 • allowing us to conclude that the deviation is statistically insignificant and due to chance alone. • Accept null hypothesis.
