  2. Introduction • Topic: Population vs Transportation Revenues • Purpose: Researching the correlation between population in Canada and revenues made by transportation companies from 1995-2000

Introduction • Question: With population steadily rising in all provinces and territories, will revenues in the transportation sector rise also? • Hypothesis: With the increasing population in Canada, citizens will turn to more public modes of transportation, in turn raising revenues for transport.

  8. Therefore... • Since the correlation coefficient equalled (.95)we can now say that population and transportation revenues positively correlate, with a strong correlation coefficient. Therefore, I must accept my hypothesis.
