PORT GLASGOW SECONDARY PLAN SCOPE • Population and demographic characteristics • Natural and cultural heritage • Natural hazards – hazardous lands • Existing land use • Type and designation of future land uses • Urban design principles and features • Viewing sheds and vantage points • Pedestrian needs and circulation • Servicing needs / requirements

PORT GLASGOW SECONDARY PLAN SPECIFIC ISSUES • Location, limits and character of “town centre” • Location and form of future development along Havens Lake Road (HLR) • Desired cross section and road allowance of HLR • Need for dedicated lane along HLR for vehicles hauling boats • Enhancement of and access to lakefront views • Land dedication for parkland • Amount and location of parking parking areas to meet future demands
