  2. PLEASE NOTE 1.Normally the verb is put in second position. 2. In questions the verb is also in second position, but in questions without an interrogative (W) word the verb is like in English the first word of the question.

  3. BEISPIELE 1.Sie liest ein Buch. 2. Was machst du ? 3. Gehst du in die Kirche ?

  4. PLEASE NOTE 1.The prefix of a separable verb is put at the end of the sentence or clause. 2. The coordinating conjunctions aber, denn, oder, sondern and und do not affect word order.

  5. BEISPIELE 1. Der Zug kommt um 9.00 Uhr an 2. Heute arbeite ich , aber morgen habe ich Zeit.

  6. PLEASE NOTE 1.Accusative pronoun before dative pronoun. 2. Dative noun before accusative noun. 3. Pronouns before nouns.

  7. BEISPIELE 1. Morgen bringt sie ihn mir zurück. 2. Heute bringe ich meinem Freund ein Fahrrad mit. 3. Ich kaufe ihr das Kleid heute.
