  • Hypothesis 1 - Organismal

    • Cricket vs. Germinating Pea vs. Dry Pea

      • Rank the organisms from high to low rate of respiration, and explain.

  • Hypothesis 2 - Temperature

    • Low vs. Room, explain your reasoning

      • Cold greater than warm

      • Warm greater than cold

      • Equal rates

      • No respiration for either

Preparations

  • Place probe in chamber (don’t twist!)

  • Wait 2min before collecting data

  • Collect data for two minutes

  • Hit stop

  • Save the file as

    • [grp#][org][temp]

    • Email to me

  • Set up low temp first

    • Put orgs in chamber

    • Put chamber in plastic beaker and fill around with ice

  • Run room temp while orgs are cooling down

  • Run low temp after 10 minutes
