1. Advertisers utilize their knowledge of gender to target.

  • What does that imply?: It implies that marketing companies know what males and females want.

2. Language might appear to be gender neutral, but words like “slim” and “smooth” are clearly aimed at feminine values.

Implications-The Language reinforces sometimes negative views women and men have of themselves.
