  2. Go for Gold BENCHMARK 19% of available workforce at GOLD level • Emphasis on high school certificate results to drive implementation of KeyTrain software for Seniors • Utilizing contractors to identify individuals that could easily move to Gold level

  3. CWRC Counties Attained High School Graduation Rates • Execution of Plan • Atkinson & Jeff Davis at required HSGR improvement. Ben Hill & Coffee already met. Will use extreme measures to achieve WR certificates in these counties while exerting major focus on meeting HSGR rate through use of KeyTrain, mentors, tutors, summer school, etc… • Bacon & Wilcox had decreasing HSGR in 2008 but are strongest communities with WR certificate goals. Bacon at 61% complete & Wilcox at 76% complete as of 11/30/09. Focus will be to identify exact measures needed to move HSGR to measurable improvement required rate before August results. • Irwin had strong improvement in WR certificates in last quarter. Moved from18% to 33% complete as of 11/30/09. More progress has been made in December and January. Strong leadership will administer community campaign to quickly move this community forward.

  4. CWRC Counties In-Progress • Strategy & Development • Four counties are well above 40% and other 3 are very close (33%, 33%, 37%). Jeff Davis with a huge gain for the last quarter with an increase from 9% to 37%. • Execution of Plan • Strong concerted Core & Home Team leverage along with the use of WR recruiters will move remaining counties to 60%. • Realization & Sustainability • Completion to move all counties above 80% WR Certificate goal may be difficult to achieve by September but certainly not impossible.

Identified actions for meeting goals • PRIVATE SECTOR • Industry Network Team members commitment to having their current employees assessed • Job Profiles result in assessments conducted for new-hires/advancement • Recruiters to promote assessments to private sector companies • Lunch and Learns • Invite business leaders from specific industry segments (i.e. banking, healthcare, food service, etc…) • GOVERNMENT SECTOR • Ben Hill County • Philip Jay & Cam Jordan have committed to splitting the government numbers remaining for Ben Hill County and have city/county employees take the assessments • ECTC • Leadership team is meeting today discuss how they can help us meet government numbers by having ECTC employees take the assessments

Identified actions for meeting goals (cont) • UNEMPLOYED SECTOR • Be Work Ready Incentive • Full-page color newspaper ads to go out in all 7 counties next week • Adult Education Departments • Informing GED candidates of the initiative and strongly encouraging them to take assessments prior to sitting for GED • Department of Labor offices • Encourage clients to take assessments • WIA offices • Encourage clients to take assessments • Be Work Ready Incentive Increase • $100 incentive to earn a certificate • $200 additional incentive to participate in online GAP training, reassess, and increase certificate level • Requirements to Qualify for Be Work Ready Incentives • Unemployed • 18 years of age or older • NOT a full-time student

Identified actions for meeting goals (cont) • HIGH SCHOOL • Atkinson and Ben Hill Counties – goals met • Bacon County • Assessments conducted; waiting for results; goal of 8 should be met • Coffee County • In process of scheduling assessments for Seniors; hope to conduct these in February and meet goal of 14 • Irwin County • Orientation & pre-registration already conducted; in process of scheduling assessments for Seniors; hope to conduct these in February and meet goal of 2 • Jeff Davis County • Assessments conducted; identifying where #s stand to meet goal of 9 • Wilcox • Orientation & pre-registration already conducted; in process of scheduling assessments for DCT Seniors; hope to conduct these in February and meet goal of 2 • Assessments already conducted for High School Seniors: Fitzgerald High School (half), Atkinson County High School (all), Bacon County High School (part), and Jeff Davis County High School (all)

Identified actions for meeting goals (cont) • GED SECTOR • Conducted GWR/KeyTrain training for ECTC Adult Education Department employees on 11.13.09 • GED Scholarships • Adult Education Departments • Informing GED candidates of the initiative and strongly encouraging them to take assessments prior to sitting for GED • Golden Opportunity Grants • COLLEGE SECTOR • Technical Colleges • Presented GWR during ECTC New Student Orientation on 1.5.10 • Assessing students in EMP 1000 classes • Colleges • Follow-up with South Georgia College and other colleges to identify how they can assist us in meeting these goals by having their students assessed

Industry Networks • Strategy & Development • Completed July 2009 • Execution of Plan • 3 Industry Network Meetings • 6 manufacturing profiles completed • 6 companies using GWR • Industry Survey completed by 90% • Training Identified (see spreadsheet) • Realization & Sustainability • Level 2 requirements met • Common training being delivered • Industry Network recognizing value of WR partnership Region Leadership will plan & direct a campaign to identify Industry Champions focused on continuing & improving the Industry Network WR partnership; commitment to be documented.
