  3. Why Teach? • Passion for learning new things • Share knowledge with younger students • Share excitement and inspiration • “Only by teaching, do we truly learn something for the first time.” • Richard P. Feynman

  4. Quantum Mechanics • Not the easiest thing in the world to teach… • Experimental approach: • Double-slit experiment with light • Photoelectric effect • Davisson-Germer electron diffraction experiment • Shrodinger equation, Heisenberg Principle

  6. All About Mars • AP English Class: Mars in culture, literature, and art through the ages • Government/Economics Classes: The Politics of Space Exploration • Other classes: General presentation on the Mars Society

  7. Would you support a manned mission to Mars? Yes, for humankind only is united in progress or external activity, and the colonization of Mars would mark our race’s first step into the starts, and would be the defining achievement of all human history.

  8. Would you support a manned mission to Mars? No, I think that its unGodly to travel to space. I just feel that man is wrong for trying to be so almighty. If God wanted us in space, he wouldn’t have made it so far away.

  9. What I learned… • “The best way to learn a subject is to try to teach that subject!” • Young human psychology • Human development (from freshman to senior year)
