  7. 4x4 Graduation RequirementsMathematics-Recommended Plan If selected, Mathematical Models with Applications must be taken prior to Algebra II. The SBOE may designate additional courses at a later point in time.

  12. ScienceRecommended Plan • IPC may not be taken as the final course. • The SBOE may designate additional courses at a later point in time.

Recent SBOE Guidance • Under the RHSP, a student may take a fourth science course prior to successful completion of biology, chemistry, and/or physics. • Under the RHSP, a student may take a fourth science course concurrently with biology, chemistry, or physics. • Under the DAP, after successful completion of two science courses, a student may take the third and fourth science courses concurrently.

  16. 4x4 Graduation RequirementsForeign Language Requirement • RHSP – 2 years of the same foreign language required • DAP – 3 years of the same foreign language required Choices of foreign language: Spanish (academic, Pre-AP, dual credit, AP) French (academic, Pre-AP, AP) German (academic, Pre-AP, dual credit, AP)

  17. 4x4 Graduation RequirementsPhysical Education • 1.5 credits required • Maximum of 2.0 credits allowed (additional 0.5 to count as additional elective)

  18. 4x4 Graduation RequirementsOther Requirements • 1.0 Fine Art credit • 0.5 credit in Health/0.5 credit in Speech • 1.0 credit in technology applications course • Additional electives: 3.5 for RHSP, 2.5 for DAP

  19. §28.009. COLLEGE CREDIT PROGRAM Each school district shall implement a program under which students may earn the equivalent of at least 12 semester credit hours of college credit in high school.
