Benefits Measurements taken by EPD • Respirable suspended particles (RSP) level lowered by 11% in Causeway Bay and Mong Kok, where part-time pedestrian schemes have been implemented. • Traffic noise level reduced by 3 dB to 6 dB. Reduction in vehicle speed • With introduction of traffic calming measures such as speed tables, the average vehicle speed could be reduced from 25 km/hr to 16 km/hr.
