  3. Powerful opportunities for more responsibility and commensurate pay Mentor Teacher Master Teacher Career Teacher

  4. SHARED LEADERSHIP • Principal • Assistant Principal • Master Teachers • Mentor Teachers • Or others seen as instrumental in increasing student achievement within a school

  5. “Tap has made us an undivided team!”

  6. Continuous on-site professional development during the school day CLUSTER GROUPS

  7. "I found TAP to be fundamentally helpful as a first year teacher to have the support of a Master Teacher and the rubric to breakdown what elements should be happening in an engaging and actively learning environment."

  8. “No one likes change because it forces you out of your comfort zone. Unless you are willing to get out of your comfort zone, you cannot grow. TAP forced me out of my comfort zone and offered me a new way of teaching which allowed me to grow.”

  9. “TAP has allowed me, as a teacher, to be rewarded for my hard work and dedication that I put forth in my classroom”. “TAP has made me a better teacher because it helps me reflect about my teaching and how I can improve so that I can promote student growth”.

  10. Fair evaluations based on clearly defined, research-based standards How Does TAP Work? • Multiple observations • Multiple trained and certified observers • Cluster training and classroom support

  12. “Using TAP has made me a better teacher. The rubric is based on best teaching practices so even if I feel more comfortable teaching certain subjects, I can be successful in all subject areas by following the rubric.”

  13. “This is my first year in a TAP district. If I could use one word to describe TAP Program, it would be, “mirror”. TAP encourages me to look directly at my teaching, students, and environment. Once I look in my “mirror,” I try to have the best image possible!”

  14. “For me, TAP has helped me master the complete lesson for my students. Following the TAP model, I can ensure that my students will get practice together with me, group (or small group) practice, and individual mastery. TAP is essentially what good teaching is all about, and this model allows me to make sure good teaching and learning happens everyday in class”

  15. “The TAP Program helps me to improve or provide effective instruction to meet the needs of individual students. The TAP rubric is used as a tool to ensure specific components are present within the lesson. Also Master and Mentor teachers are there to aid me and provide instructional strategies that I can implement in my classroom to meet the needs of my students. Formal and informal observations pinpoint areas that I need to improve to help me become a more effective teacher.”

  16. “The TAP program has made me more aware of various aspects that affect students' learning. I can confidently explain why each area of the rubric is there and how it impacts student learning. TAP ensures that I take the time to think about each of these aspects when teaching and planning for my students.”

  17. “TAP has made it possible for all students learning needs to be met because it requires teachers to really plan and differentiate for all learning needs within every classroom”.
