  6. 1. Is this class hard? YES!!! No Silly! YES it absolutely is! No, it is a piece of cake!

  7. The truth is doing well in class can be easy by • staying organized • completing all assignments THOUGHTFULLY • using all resources provided • getting help as soon as you are confused.

  8. 2. Do we do labs in this class? YES! 3. Do we do projects? YES!

  9. 4. How much homework is there? Usually 2-3 times a week 5. Is Physics hard to understand? It is challenging but you can do it, Studying, and reviewing 15 minutes every day will make this class seem easy peasey!

  10. 7. Are we going on Field Trips? Yes, we have 3 1- Epcot, Feb.13 2- Busch Gardens, April 22 3- Weedon Island Nature Preserve, in May

  11. 6. What will our grades be based on? Labs Tests and Quizzes Homework Assignments Projects Class work

  12. 8.a. Is Honors Hard? Honors students must be able to work independently, seek help when needed (hmm… sounds familiar) and be able to set and adhere to their own timelines to get projects done.

  13. 8b. How much more work is Honors? Honors students submit a current event article and write-up every Friday unless specified by your leader (ME!). Additionally, they must complete 2 projects each 9 weeks. Honors students may also have additional extension activities on classwork.

  14. 9. How do we get into Honors? OR, get out of Honors? Either choice requires a note, signed by your parent, asking for you to be placed into Honors or to be taken out of Honors. Your schedule will not be changed.

  15. 10. What resources are available to us? -First, your book, Conceptual Physics This book is to be left at home, used as a resource and for assignments given to you.

  16. Second, one of my websites affectionately called my IT site, http://it.pinellas.k12.fl.us/teachers2/bryanta/index.html This site has notes you can download or print, contains our class calendar and has links to my other website.

  17. Third, my other website, my quia (Key- Uh) site http://www.quia.com/pages/bryantphys.html This site will have practice games and quizzes to help you learn the material and prepare for tests and exams.

  18. Another resource – Your Peers (fellow students) It is good to form study groups to help each other gain understanding and prepare for tests.

  19. Another resource still ? ME I am available nearly every day during lunch or after school. Don’t hesitate, get help immediately!
