Education – for inclusion and diversity: Equality project • Equality training for 1,500 young people each year around the issues of: • race, gender, sexuality and disability • Partnership with 2 organisations from the black Brazilian movement, as part of a federal government training project for the inclusion of young people in the work market • Innovative methods and discussions on cumulative discrimination, and on the relationship between disability, poverty and social exclusion and racial and sexual discrimination • Training teams formed of teachers, activists ‘specialised’ in one or many of the themes

Education – for inclusion and diversity: Equality project Equity: a principle in which people are treated differently to those who live in unequal conditions/situations.Treating people in an unequal position equally only perpetuates inequality. The principle of equity aims to promote human diversity. « If diversity is not valued, it generates inequalities, and society fails to benefit from the richness offered by it and that which comes from developing countries. Education – for inclusion and diversity: Equality project Methodology:Training in 6 modules for a total of 40 hours for groups of 40 young people 1- Identity, culture and diversity (12h) 2- Sexuality (4h) 3- Accessibility of urban spaces (8h) 4- Medias and communications (4h) 5- Public policy (8h) 6- Evaluation (4h) The methodology is participatory, and includes the use of presentations, films, videos, lectures, debates, visits, etc. The training aims primarily to identify inequalities, and to rebuildconcepts, and new perspectives build on equity
