  6. Basic Email Commands • Compose—New Message • Send- “Mails” the message • Reply—Sends message back • Beware: Reply All • Forward—Sends the message on to other users • Attachment—file or document hooked to an email

  7. More terms: • Carbon Copy –send a copy to a third party • Blind Carbon Copy—send a copy to third party without receiver knowing • Deleting—moving the email to another folder. THEN DUMP TRASH

  8. Parts of an Email Message • TO • FROM –automatic • DATE AND TIME –automatic • SUBJECT –required • BODY • Address the person at the top

  9. Netiquette • Rules for polite internet and email use • Don’t use all caps (shouting) • Don’t ramble • Use business language • Spell correctly • Don’t use net slang (LOL, OMG, BTW)
