  6. Introduction In a bid to understand a current generation conducted a study, 2200 young men and women were contacted targeting the age group of 18-25 years across 13 cities. The study explores attitudes towards money among the youth. Respondents believe money facilitates happiness and makes good times possible.

Importance of Money • For their hangouts, which include cafeterias, canteen benches, food courts in malls and even hotel room. • To do their shopping, watching films, grooming, birthday treats etc. • Date with their boyfriend/girlfriend. • To spend on holidays and celebrations. • To pay phone bills and cigarettes
