  3. Current status of execution plan • First draft done by Ian and Cristina in January 2004 • Update in March 2004 • New version published by Alistair on 6th May 2004 • WBS is a major feature of the execution plan – section 4.4 • Spreadsheet of WBS available as a place to capture information • Contribution required from each federation on: • Section 4.5 – staffing (1/2 page of text – can add a spreadsheet also) • Section 4.6 – training (1/2 page of text each) • Section 4.7 – risk assessment (1 page of text each) • Section 4.8 – what they are going to implement (5 pages/federation) EGEE, SA1 ROC Managers’ Meeting, 11 May 2004

  4. Volunteers for initial text Section 4.5 Staffing – Cristina Section 4.6 Training - ? Section 4.7 Risk assessment - ? Section 4.8 Implementation - ? I would like to complete the trial version of the section with the volunteer this week, and for the volunteer to help the others to complete their bit by the end of May. I will combine all of the parts into the completed document in June. If English is a problem, concentrate on content. I will fix the text. EGEE, SA1 ROC Managers’ Meeting, 11 May 2004

  5. How we are going to complete it I expect that the detail of the execution plan will be discussed at each ROC meeting in June. Once we have completed what we are adding for the ROCs to sections 4.5, 4.6 and 4.7 we will have a feel of how to work together to get such things done. If you are unhappy about any of the plan, then say so in advance. We will have collective responsibility for it once it is agreed. This plan is only good for the first year, so we can avoid difficult issues for now. However we can mention them, even if we are not addressing them in the first year. EGEE, SA1 ROC Managers’ Meeting, 11 May 2004

  6. Summary • The execution plan has to be ready at the end of June • New versions will be added to EDMS approximately weekly • Current drafts will be available on demand from me in June • It should be about the same length as the SA1 part of the TA. Where detail is the same as the TA, refer to the TA • Where the TA requires change (eg 24x7) we will change the TA • Completion of this on time and with good quality will be seen by the PEB++ as evidence that SA1 is effective • I will write most of it, and co-ordinate other’s parts • Avoid getting into detail unless it is really useful • It is a project planning document intended for people outside the activity • You may have a more detailed version for internal activity • You may have a more detailed plan for use within the ROC EGEE, SA1 ROC Managers’ Meeting, 11 May 2004
