  5. Tuen Mun Butterfly Beach Park • Lung Mun Road, Tuen Mun • Characteristics:  • Tuen Mun Butterfly Beach Park is situated in Lung Mun Road, Area 45B. It is built along the Butterfly Beach, occupying 6.3 hectares in area. There are garden, pavilion, promenade, BBQ area and mini soccer pitch. It is a refreshing recreational attraction for residents in southern Tuen Mun. • Facilities:  • Volleyball court, mini soccer pitch, BBQ area, etc. Barbecue site Football pitch

  6. Tuen Mun Park • - Heung Sze Wui Road, Tuen Mun • -Characteristics:  • The park, covering a total area of about 12.5 hectares, provides a wide range of facilities. It is centrally located at Tuen Mun, providing a green belt for the factories and housing estates sandwiching it. The most attractive feature is the lake where activities like boating and cycling can take place. Two arch bridges link the two sides of the lake. Some Japanese-style pavilions are among the greenery by the lake. The peace and tranquility is a big contrast to the hustle and bustle of the town centre at the entrance of the park. The other main feature is the Reptile House built in 1999. The cave-like entrance is decorated with some "rocks" made from reinforced fibre-glass. The twisted, white turret, which is the reception area, is the most distinctive feature of the design.   9. Tuen Mun Golf Centre • Covering an area of 43 200 square metres, the Tuen Mun Golf Centre, which was commissioned on 26 February 1995, is the first public golf driving range in Hong Kong. The major facilities of the Golf Centre include a 2-storey driving range with 91 bays, practice greens and bunker facilities. Other facilities include a booking office, a teaching room, a pro shop, a general restaurant, changing rooms, children's playgrounds and a carpark. Individuals or groups may apply for use of the golf driving facilities during opening hours. Besides, the Centre also offers golf training courses of different levels and related programmes each month for public participation. The Golf Centre

  10. Adventure Park The Adventure Park, measuring 20 000 square metres in size, was open for public use on 1 May 1995. The major facilities provided include an 6 meter width and 9 meter height outdoor sport climbing wall with overhang constructed on half of its upper surface; a 14-stations rope course with lower and upper section with highest level of 7 meter from ground; and a children playground. Organizations or individual are welcomed to hire the sport climbing wall and rope course for training purposes. Tuen Mun Recreation and Sports Centre Located at Lung Mun Road in Tuen Mun, the Tuen Mun Recreation and Sports Centre is one of the various recreation and sports facilities managed by the Leisure and Cultural Services Department. The Centre is funded and built by The Hong Kong Jockey Club. It consists of four parts which include Tuen Mun Golf Centre, Tuen Mun Public Riding School, Adventure Park and Archery Range cum Gateball Court. Members of the public are welcome to use the facilities and to join the various recreation and sports programmes organized by the Centre each month.

  14. Tuen Mun Town Hall The Tuen Mun Town Hall is a well-equipped cultural complex managed by the department. Conveniently located in the heart of Tuen Mun and effectively served by a motorway network connecting all parts of the district as well as Yuen Long, Tsuen Wan and Kowloon, the Town Hall is the centre for cultural activities and performing arts in northwest New Territories. To cope with Tuen Mun's rapid development, the Town Hall has been continually enhancing its facilities, improving its services and dedicating itself to promote the cultural activities in the region, with a vision to bringing to the local community a vibrant cultural milieu.

  15. Facilities AUDITORIUM The Auditorium, versatile for different types of performances and with a seating capacity of 1372 audiences, is the pride of the Town Hall. It has a stage area of 323 square metres measuring 19 metres in width, 17 metres in depth and 9.9 metres in height. With the two wings each offering an area of approximately 300 square metres, the stage layout is convertible and can effectively cater for different production requirements.Other main features include adjustable sound enclosures to fit orchestras of different sizes

For proscenium performances, the stage is equipped with a flying system for the putting up of scene curtains, sufficient for large scale production.The first two rows of seats in the seating area may be removed for easy conversion into an orchestral pit to accommodate a maximum of 70 musicians. The backstage area is equipped with six single and seven communal dressing rooms, an advanced computerized lighting system complete with 120 circuit , and a sophisticated sound system with a 24-channel mixer.

  17. The state-of-the-art fixture and equipment of the Auditorium guarantee superb audio-visual enjoyment for cultural programmes. With the magnificent stage and a large seating capacity, it is also an ideal venue for holding large-scale gatherings and graduation ceremonies.

  18. DANCE STUDIO The Dance Studio has a floor area of 285 square metres. The space is embedded with sprung flooring and wall-to-wall mirrors and handrails on the three sides of the room. Other fixtures include an electric roll-up screen, an upright piano, as well as a fully equipped sound and lighting control room.The Dance Studio is excellent for rehearsal and dance training classes. With a high ceiling, it is also suitable for training martial skills in traditional Chinese operas.

  19. MUSIC STUDIO The Music Studio with a floor area of 240 square metres, is embedded with sprung flooring, and has wall-to-wall mirrors and handrails installed on two sides of the room. It is also equipped with an upright piano, and a fully equipped sound and lighting control room. Besides practising music, the Studio is an excellent choice for dance training classes. PRACTICE ROOMS The three Practice Rooms each has a floor area of 12 square metres. The walls have been specially treated for maximum acoustic fidelity. Equipped with upright pianos, the rooms are most suitable for instrumental and vocal practices by individuals or small ensembles.
