  2. The Final Step • Choose one of your unit topics from Step One and develop a creative product that clearly demonstrates the importance of that topic for your theme and for Canada’s 20th Century.

Conventional Approaches • Front page of newspaper/newsletter that captions differing aspects of your topic/event or differing opinions about its historical significance • A script for short play: using script style you should develop a clear storyline, with a main character/hero who has an clear objective or a goal – add in a written piece that justifies your topic as being significant enough to have a play written about it • Write a 5-paragraph research essay that clearly explores the historical significance of your topic/event using three body paragraphs to discuss three elements of significance

  4. Ideas for Products: Postage Stamp 1) Design a new postage stamp that commemorates your chosen topic and write a piece justifying your topic’s significance for Canadian History.
