What Do You Mean by “Real Life Issue”? • Theme: A theme is a broad and overarching topic, such as “Biodiversity.” It answers the “what” question, but only in a more general sense. • Subtopic: A subtopic is an issue related to the theme, but it is more specific, such as “Poaching,” as a subtopic of “Biodiversity.” It answers the “what” question with more specificity. • Real-Life Issue: A real-life issue is even more targeted than the subtopic. It includes(and eventually answers) the “how,” ”where,” “who,” and “why” questions: • How it happens? • Who it affects (positively & negatively? • Why is it important to myself, my community, and my world?
