  2. JOB DESCRIPTION • The responsibilities of assistant managers vary from job to job, but the framework of the job description is the same. assistant manager reports to the store or branch manager. There may be more than one assistant; each assistant manager plays a role in helping to run the operation and aids the organization in keeping the unit profitable. • Assistant managers are expected to oversee staff. If you become an assistant manager, you will need to understand basic company policies and standard operating procedures. You may also have a role in employee evaluations, which examine and rate performance. • Assistant managers assume the manager's duties when the manager is absent or working on other projects. In addition, an assistant manager may be assigned specific areas of responsibility, such as scheduling the staff, training, or overseeing a given department.

QUALIFICATIONS • High school diploma or equivalent required • 2+ years experience • Must be at least 18 years of age • Ability to work weekend, evening, and holiday shifts • Proven ability to drive sales and maximize store profitability • Strong ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills • Ability to partner with Store Manager on personnel matters • Outgoing, influential, and results-oriented • Understands the importance of and embraces diversity in the workplace

  4. SALARY RANGE • $25,000-$40,000 yearly salary • Hourly can range from $10 an hour up to $16 • Salary is always base on how much experience you have in the field your applying for.

  5. JOB OUTLOOK • The market for Assistant manager in retail alone is growing quickly. The outlook for this job is good to excellent

  6. LOCATIONS • Any where in a work place in California.
