  1. YOUR Driving force and core motive?

  2. Thesis Pain is a better driver in behavioural change than vision. Most people do not want to change when the perspective is uncertain and life is OK. Europartners

  3. Our behaviour is often focused on: • Our own safety more than anything • Preventing (short term) trouble and sadness What people think of me (looking for praise and recognition) Confirmation of who I am My perception (because that is the truth) My rights Europartners

  4. Core drivers: Larry Crabb (psychologist) says: My core emotion = I was afraid My core motive = For I am naked My core strategy = So I hide myself It is all about the fear of rejection and fear of losses We need to be someone We need to be loved It is existential and we cannot skip it. It is who we are Europartners

  5. (1)Fear of rejection: We hide in our success, image, roles, status, possessions, clothes, body building etc. Nobody is allowed to see me as I am, because when they know me they probably wouldn’t like me any more and then I will lose everything. Knowing and loving become separated. Our need to control. In controlling we feel we have power over our own destiny. So we are not encountering other but work on managing their perception of us. Europartners

  6. An encounter Do people meet ‘someone’ or the real me? Love Happiness Destination Calling Unity Love and relationship Abundance Full relationship and encounter Comfort Safety Control Being right Being accepted Scarcity Openness to others Me We

  7. (2)Fear of loss: Job, company, money Status, recognition, praise, success Family Life We live out of a scarcity mindset and notan attitude of gratitude Europartners

  8. Core motive: (for I am naked) What do I have to hide? My secret sins? A doubtful train of thoughts? A bad past? My performance unacceptable? Europartners

  9. We are called to: Take responsibility, take care and control Manage and preserve the earth Be good leaders, serving the people around us Enter into loving relationships Work for the general well-being of people Live out of love, compassion and service As an entrepreneur we want to do this via our company and by developing the economy. But how are we to do this in a life governed by fear? to Europartners

  10. Small group talk Is your daily work about survival or living? What is your hiding strategy? How does this affect performance reviews with your staff? How does this affect the way you dismiss someone? How does this affect your vision for your business? Do you feel a calling to your business? Are you happy with yourself? Europartners

  11. A way of change The opposite of fear is love! We can only give love as we have come to know it …(parenting, relationships from the past or in the present) …has this led to healthy self-esteem and self- love? (only if I love myself, can I love another) We can be known and fully loved (out of grace) Europartners

  12. Differences in lives and companies FEARLOVE I Together Survive Live My company Customer and my company Profit Customer, product / service & profit Pressure - constrained Freedom More and more, Experiencing gratitude and joy no contentment Believes in: take Believes in: give & receive Europartners

  17. Christian power There is unconditional love There is space, forgiveness and restoration A crisis is a warning, to do things differentlyA crisis is a new start Dying is always a new beginning There is a new future coming and therefore there is always hope Europartners
