  1. Final Words of EncouragementHebrews 13 • 1. Living For Christ – Our Personal Response • a. Love: • Hebrews 13:1 (NIV) - Keep on loving each other as brothers. • John 13:35 (NIV) - By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.” • Ephesians 4:2 (NIV) …bearing with one another in love.

  2. b. Hospitality • Hebrews 13:2 (NIV) - Do not forget to entertain strangers, for by so doing some people have entertained angels without knowing it. • 1 Peter 4:9 (NIV) - Offer hospitality to one another without grumbling.

  3. c. Empathy • Hebrews 13:3 (NIV) - Remember those in prison as if you were their fellow prisoners, and those who are mistreated as if you yourselves were suffering. • d. Purity • Hebrews 13:4 (NIV) - Marriage should be honored by all, and the marriage bed kept pure, for God will judge the adulterer and all the sexually immoral.

  4. e. Contentment • Hebrews 13:5 (NIV) - Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said, “Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.”

  5. Living for Christ - Our Church Family Response • a. Follow Your Pastors • Hebrews 13:7 (NIV) - Remember your leaders, who spoke the word of God to you. Consider the outcome of their way of life and imitate their faith.

  6. b. Stay True to God’s Word • Hebrews 13:9a (NIV) - Do not be carried away by all kinds of strange teachings. • Hebrews 13:9b (NIV) -It is good for our hearts to be strengthened by grace, not by ceremonial foods, which are of no value to those who eat them.

  7. c. Worship As Sacrifice • Hebrews 13:15 (NIV) - Through Jesus, therefore, let us continually offer to God a sacrifice of praise—the fruit of lips that confess his name. • Hebrews 13:16 (NIV) -And do not forget to do good and to share with others, for with such sacrifices God is pleased.

  8. d. Submit To Leaders • Hebrews 13:17 (NIV) - Obey your leaders and submit to their authority. They keep watch over you as men who must give an account. Obey them so that their work will be a joy, not a burden, for that would be of no advantage to you. • e. Pray For Each Other • Hebrews 13:18 (NIV) - Pray for us. • verb “to pray  means “keep on praying”
