  2. GAP ASSESSMENT • El Paso population 800,000 • About 16 active neurologists • 3-6 month waiting time • Large population with epilepsy, cerebrovascular disease, neurodegenerative disorders • El Paso Region Health assessment mentioned the need for neurologists as a priority

  3. MILESTONES & PROGRESS DY 03 • I. To recruit providers (physicians and non physicians) • 2 FTE 2014 (Feb. and July 2014) • Active pool of applicants for FY 15 to include many specialties • 2ND Interviews completed • II. To establish an ACGME accredited residency Program in Neurology • Application will be submitted 8/14 • Target Class: July 2015

Milestone and Pr0gress DY3 • To expand services to include 2 sites, volume of patients seen (outpatient and consults), ambulatory clinic sessions and inpatient consult service(s) • Outcomes: • On target for Unique patient count • 2nd site opening prior to 9/14; delay for unique patient count to DY 04

Milestone and Pr0gress DY3 • E-Referral • Implemented a 360° electronic Referrals via Referral Management System. • Internal referrals within TTUHSC implemented • External community not incorporated as of yet • Category III DSRIP • Patient Satisfaction Survey (baseline year) • Epilepsy: measuring recurrent seizures and hospital readmission (baseline year) • Enhanced Outpatient Progress Notes completed 2 weeks ago • Forthcoming data
