  2. Jobs that require skills in computer science are growing in demand -Everything is going digital. Even books are being converted into scanned images -The Internet is growing at an exponential rate. Google alone processes 20,000 Terabytes each day. This is equal to 231 Gigabytes per second! -From growth comes more job opportunity. More Jobs, Companies, and new technologies.

The most popular programming languages show what kind of technology employers want There is a high demand for those who know object oriented languages and C: a general purpose, structured programming language. There is also much interest in new technologies. (Haskell is the 4th most talked about language today.)

  4. New mobile technology will bring a lot of demand for developers who can integrate software with it. -New products open opportunity for companies to develop more software for these products. Demand for security will increase as old encryption algorithms are cracked and are no longer as secure. -Research must be done to see the flaws in old algorithms and how to better them.
