  3. HEALTH PROBLEMS WITH IMPROPER COMPUTER USAGE -Excessive light or glare on the monitor may develop eyestrain or headaches -Visual discomfort such as itching eyes, dry eyes and or burning eyes may develop -Neck/Shoulder discomfort may rise to improper sitting positions

  5. -According to the wrong chair uses Lower back pain can arise with time -Hand and wrist pain may develop -Carpal tunnel syndrome gained within the first few years of computer misuse -An increase in spinal forces

  6. -To prevent pointing fingers in a fixed and locked position mouse should be next to the keyboard.

  7. WHAT TO DO TO PREVENT HEALTH PROBLEMS WITH COMPUTER USAGE. When sitting upright the torso and neck are approximately vertical and in line, the thighs are approximately horizontal and the lower legs are vertical.

  8. -When using the computer while standing the leg, torso, neck and head are approximately in line and vertical. One foot may be elevated on a rest while in this posture -When in a decline sitting position the thigh are incline with the buttocks higher than the knee and the angle between the thighs and the torso is greater than 90 degrees . the torso is vertical or slightly reclined and the legs are vertical

  9. -Avoid sitting directly under air condition vents that “dump” air right on top of you. -Maintain appropriate air circulation -Arrange your workplace to minimize glare from overhead lights, dark lamps and windows, this will reduce eye muscle fatigue

  11. -Monitor height should be adjusted based on personal comfort and vision requirements. -To prevent creating shadows use brightness and contrast levels on the monitor to ensure adequate resolution and polarity

  12. Blinds are on the window and the monitor is placed at a perpendicular angle

  13. -Office furniture provided must meet designed guidelines set by (1988 ANSI/HFS/100Standards) -Place pointing finger on actuation button only when needed
