The quality or state of being worthy, honored, or esteemed. Humans possess dignity because we are made in the image and likeness, endowed with a spiritual soul. Therefore, we are valuable, worthy of honor and esteem, simply because we are so precious in God’s eyes. Dignity. What is this?.

  1. The quality or state of being worthy, honored, or esteemed. Humans possess dignity because we are made in the image and likeness, endowed with a spiritual soul. Therefore, we are valuable, worthy of honor and esteem, simply because we are so precious in God’s eyes. Dignity

  3. We reflect God in our souls, our intellects, and our ability to love.

  4. Remember: No matter how good of an image we may be, WE ARE NOT GOD!

  9. Venial sins are slight sins. • They do not break our friendship with God, although they injure it. • They involve disobedience of the law of God in slight (venial) matters. Venial Sin

  10. A serious offense against God’s law of love that ruptures in a person's link to God's saving grace Mortal Sin

  11. There are 3 conditions for an sin to be mortal: • It must be of grave matter • Full knowledge • Full consent Mortal Sin

  12. Human’s inclination toward sin (CCC 2515) • It stems from the disobedience of the first sin (the fall of Adam and Eve) (CCC 2515) Concupiscence
