  1. Holy Trinity Cathedral RENOVATION OF INNER DOME 2009 BY ALEXANDER BUILDERS & CO. LTD.

  2. First Assessment – HTC inner dome First assessment of inner dome cavity to identify make-up of structure and extent of damage. The inner dome support structure was found to consist of a Knogg structure (timber, mesh, mortar and plaster creating an inner dome)

  3. Works commence to reinforce & repair substructure The inner dome support structure was compromised by severe termite infestation leading to cracks in the plaster. This would have to be rectified without affecting or damaging the artisan works painted on the plaster. Pest control was carried out using gas fumigation and residuals by Carib Pest before any works began on the interior structure.

  4. Set-up of support structure EPS foam in blocks was used to support the inner dome so that a small work crew could enter the inner cavity without damage to the face of the plaster throughout.
