Our Mission and Vision

WINGS is a global network of grantmaker associations and philanthropic support organisations. WINGS strengthens, promotes and provides leadership on the development of philanthropy and social investment around the world. WINGS gives voice to the many cultures of giving and provides its members and other participants with information, knowledge, and peer exchange.

Our vision is of a strong, global philanthropic community that strives to build more equitable and just societies around the world.

3. Moving Forward

  • We are the only worldwide network serving and representing infrastructure for philanthropy
  • We are in good position to:
    • Facilitate members to connect, share, and partner
    • Support member strengthening their capacity
    • Promote enabling envirorganizations in onmentfor philanthropy
    • Advance philanthropy practice and research

We see 3 levels of need among members:

    • Individual level – to feel connected and overcome isolation
    • Organizational level – to build strong, sustainable organizations
    • Network level – to build shared vision and collective action to promote and support philanthropy

  • Good quality data will enable to advance knowledge within the field
