  3. Plot Summary Count Dracula follows John back to London after John’s stay in Counts castle. Friends of John are then bit by Count turning them in to vampires encouraging Jonathan and the doctor to put an end to Count.

  6. Literary Devices • Foreshadowing – People on train tell John Count castle is evil and beg him not to go. (pg. 8) • Onomatopoeia – Beast is making a “RARR!” sound. (pg. 23) • Simile – “He’s climbing down that wall like a lizard on a rock.” (pg. 21)

  7. Vocabulary words • Crucifix – a cross which is thought by Christians to represent Jesus • Sacred wafer – a round thin piece of bread • Carriage – a small vehicle with wheels often pulled by horses

  8. Relation • Count Draculaby Bram Stoker directly relates to this book . Both books have the same theme and events.

  9. Questions • How did Jonathan escape from Count’s castle? • How did Jonathan kill count with just knifes when only a wooden steak and hammer can kill vampires? • Were was the other guy in the book that wanted to marry Lucy.

  10. Inference • We believe that since Count is dead for ever that Jonathan and his friends will live a happy vampire free life.

  11. Count's Traits • Count can be best described as an evil, sneaky, vampire. • In the story when Jonathan cuts himself Count says Blood! and tell John he should be more carful with an evil grin on his face.
