  2. Planning your future • You are coming to the end of Year 11and it is time to take control of your future • The next two years are considered to be so important for building the foundations of your future life, that the government has raised the age of participation. This means….

  3. What is Raising the Participation Age? • …. if you are currently in Year 11, you will have to continue in education or training until the end of the school year in which you turn 17.

  4. What is Raising the Participation Age? • …. if you are currently in Year 10 or below, you will • have to continue until your 18th birthday, as the • majority of young people already do.
