  2. Go to https://www.e-value.net

  3. Login using your USERID, i.e. bfinkPassword is same as you use for e-mail and computer access.Institution Code: KUMC (case sensitive)

  4. Click menu option User Menu, then Duty Hours

  5. Click on the date number in the left corner to add each entry or multiple entries per day.

  6. A separate window pops up.

  7. Select Task, Clock In Date and Time, and Clock Out Date and Time. Every day begins at Midnight (12a).

  8. Task Selection • Work Hours Planned – default, most commonly used • In-House Call – intern long call or overnight MOD • Called in from home – don’t use this • Jury Duty, Vacation – use only for these types of leave • Family Leave – FMLA only • Sick Leave – personal/family illness • Professional Leave – interviews, professional conferences, exams not listed as an activity • Paid Holiday – do not use, bobbie will enter these • Funeral Leave – death in immediate family • Military Leave – only if you are in the military

  9. Activity (rotation) locations – click on the icon above the 2nd box for the complete list. Remember to click on Save when done.

  10. Every entry must have a task, activity, and hours. Each day begins as 12:00 a.m. – Midnight. If you did not work on a specific day, please leave blank. To create another entry for that day, click on the date number in the left corner of the box.

  11. To edit an entry, click on the underlined text and the time entry window will open.

  12. Correctly entered clinic hours:

  13. Correctly entered vacation, M-F, 8a-5p including clinic (if applicable)

  14. Correctly entered Ambulatory rotation:

  15. Edit prior or future months, or Select Date.

  16. Leave blank if you did not work that day. Leave blank if a State or Federal Holiday and you did not work. Do not enter hours for daily conferences. Do not enter duty hours in advance. Duty hours must be entered weekly. It is a violation of your residency to falsify your duty hours.
