  3. Our Goals To understand critically three major societal changes shaping learning in the future. To ponder ways in which education might be changed and remain constant. To further our interest and capacity to enquire about the future of learning in multiple contexts.

  4. Throughline #2 How might we rethink learning? How do we need torethink the what,who and how of learning as aresult of these changes or forces?

  6. What do we know? How might we re-think learning? Rethinking life experience (engages mind/brain, emotion/cognition, individual/environment and contributes to our sense of self) Rethinking environments (embodying cultural ideals, values, affect, relationships, emotion, thinking dispositions (all positive or negative) Rethinking agency and individualization (learner responsibility, intrinsic motivation, individual neural activation paths…”the myth of averages”) Rethinking accountability (designing “age appropriate” curricula is not enough“…. “stop teaching- design environments”)
