  1. NSLDS and ACG/SMART NSLDS will begin: Receiving ACG/SMART Grants from COD on December 17, 2006 Displaying ACG/SMART Grants on the website on December 18, 2006 Using a new file format for Transfer Student Monitoring (TSM)/Financial Aid History (FAH) on January 1, 2007

NSLDS and ACG/SMART No ACG/SMART Grant award data will appear on 2006-2007 ISIRs Beginning on January 1, 2007: CPS will start receiving 2007-08 ACG/SMART Grant award data from NSLDS as part of pre-screening 2007-08 ACG/SMART Grant disbursement data will appear on 2007-08 ISIRs ISIR Financial Aid History will display up to three ACG and SMART Grant disbursements for the 2007-08 award year

NSLDS and ACG/SMART Beginning on January 1, 2007: ACG/SMART overpayment information will appear on 2007-08 ISIRs Comment codes will be included on ISIRs for records that are in ACG or SMART overpayment Overpayment contact information will be included in Financial Aid History information on ISIRs

  4. NSLDS and ACG/SMART Beginning on January 1, 2007: Information associated with Fraud Convictions will appear on 2007-2008 ISIRs Loan Type Code ‘F’ added Loan Status Codes ‘FR’ and ‘FD’ added Overpayment Flags Value of ‘F’ added (will be treated the same as a value of ‘Y’ = in overpayment) New post-screening reasons added 17 - Fraud Conviction added 18 - Fraud Conviction resolved

  5. Transfer Monitoring for ACG/SMART • For ACG/SMART 2006-2007 • TSM will begin on January 1, 2007 • Schools are advised not to add students to its monitoring list prior to January 1, 2007 • Schools can look up ACG/SMART award data on NSLDS Web site

  6. TSM/FAH File Layout Changes • This is not finalized. The following changes are anticipated: • No changes to the INCOMING record file layout • Changes to the OUTBOUND/PROCESSED record layouts • If new fieldsare added, they will be added at the end of each record type’s file or in current filler positions to minimize overall changes.

  7. TSM/FAH File Layout Changes • Anticipated OUTBOUND/Processed record layout changes continued: • TSM Alert/FAH Detail Record Type 1- Aggregate, Perkins, Flags Record Layout • Addition of Grad PLUS MPN FLAG • Change in definition to Default Loan Flag to include Fraud/ID theft OR create new field for each (TBD) • TSM Alert/FAH Detail Record Type 2- Name History Record Layout-expect NO CHANGES

TSM Alert/FAH Detail Record Type 3- Overpayment Record Layout- Expect CHANGES • Expand the definition of selected fields to include HERA’s new Grant types • Addition to include new data elements for ACG/SMART

  9. TSM/FAH File Record Layout Changes • Anticipated OUTBOUND/Processed record Layout changes, continued: 4. TSM Alert/FAH Detail Record Type 4- Pell Payment Record Layout- Expect CHANGES (Record Type changes from PELL to GRANTS) • Expand the definition of selected fields to include HERA’s new Grant types • Addition to include new data elements for ACG and SMART separately (added to end of file, positions 143-260) • Percent of Eligibility Used field will expand from 5 to 7 characters.

  10. TSM/FAH File Record Layout Changes • Anticipated OUTBOUND/Processed record layout changes, continued: • TSM Alert/FAH Detail Record Type 5- Loan Detail Record Layout-Expect MINIMAL Changes • Expand the definition of selected fields to include HERA changes (new loan program and deferment codes)
