Illnesses Lung Cancer Asthma Airways contract and fill with large amounts of mucus Caused by pollen, smoke, dust, cold air stress or hard exercise Treated with drugs that widen the airway and reduce mucus reduction May be prevented by avoiding these triggers • A cancer that destroys lung tissue • Most common type of caner in women and men • Treatment=surgery, chemotherapy & radiation therapy • May be prevented by not smoking
