Key achievements within regions: • “Anglia Showcase” celebrating the innovating projects and best practices of member institutions. • The London group now have their own social media account to communicate more regularly and informally across the membership. • The Midland group held their first ever “Away Day” providing more opportunity for members to discuss key sector issues and share best practice • The North East Group have had all of their committee posts become vacant over the past 12 months and have managed to fill them all at the first time of asking highlighting the strength of the group.

  4. Key achievements within regions continued: • The NW&NI conducted a survey of their primary contacts to ascertain the experience and expertise within the membership which they are using as part of their topical issue discussions at regional meetings. • The Scotland group have initiated a collaboration with Skills Development Scotland and UCAS which has led to the provision of a suite of presentations given by HE staff at the Scottish Higher Education conventions. • The South East and South West groups held a very successful joint training day highlighting the strength of regions working together on events and activities. • The Wales group have established an active working relationship with Qualifications Wales, the new regulator of education in Wales which is responsible for curriculum reform highlighting HELOA’s strengthening impact and input in the sector.
