  4. Sponge Answer • The legislative branch is in charge of making laws.

Objective • SSCG9 The student will explain the differences between the House of Representatives and the Senate • SSCG4 The student will demonstrate knowledge of the organization and powers of the national government. • SCG10 The student will describe the legislative process including the roles played by committees and leadership.

Independent Practice: FoldableMust be checked off by me to receive grade • You will fold your paper into three sections • Each section represents a branch of government • On the back you will answer questions for each branch • On the front you will draw a picture for each branch. The picture must represent the job performed by each branch.
