  2. Student Activities & Clubs!

  3. Congratulations to… …Phoebe Ngo, violist in the GHS Orchestra. Phoebe was a performer with the top strings students from the Columbia area this past weekend. She participated in rehearsals Friday and Saturday and gave a fabulous performance Saturday evening at LOPAC. Congratulations on your achievement Phoebe!

  4. Dollar Day for Hurricane Sandy! Hey, can you spare a dollar to help somebody in need? On Tuesday, November 20th, the Main Street Players will be asking that you donate $1.00 for the Hurricane Sandy Relief effort. They will be coming around at all the lunches. You will be helping those who have lost everything, and for them, this will be an especially tough Thanksgiving! So remember, it’s JUST $1.00 and your donation will go to help the victims of Hurricane Sandy!

  5. For What are YOU Thankful?! The GHS Main Street Players would like to know for what are you thankful this Thanksgiving. Visit the table located by the cafeteria stage and we will give you a cutout turkey on which you can write YOUR gratitude or what you are thankful for. Then we will post your “thanks” on the columns beside the theater. Maybe yours will inspire someone else to express their gratitude too!

  6. NO-SHAVE NOVEMBER Just in case you did not know, it is NO-SHAVE NOVEMBER!!! Mr. Cooper and Mr. Kelley have pledged NOT to shave the entire month of November until we fill up the boxes outside their classrooms with canned goods. Please drop off any canned goods or prepackaged food items at either Mr. Cooper's room (317) or Coach Kelley's room (314) to support them in seeing just how shaggy their beards can get by the end of the month! Get involved today!!!

  7. Student Athletics

  8. GHS Boys’ Tennis Our Varsity Tennis team is currently recruiting for their spring season! Our team has consistently won their region in 2-A and is looking forward to dominating in region five, 3-A this year as well! If you are interested in being a part of this winning team, see Coach Allman in room 125. Training for the spring season begins soon, so don’t wait to sign up!

  9. Which Administrator Would YOU like to see in STOCKS?! Students may bring canned goods or other nonperishable food items to use for voting to put their favorite administrator in stocks during lunches AND the madrigal performance. The ballot containers in which you can deposit your canned goods will be on the stage during ALL lunches. All food collected will be used for the backpack program! Donate and donate often!
