Warm Up March 15, 2011 Respond to one of the following questions: • Explain how what terrace farming is and why it would be used. • Explain why a person has more freedoms in a democracy than they would in an autocracy and oligarchy. • How does investing in Human Capital help improved a nation’s standard of living? • What role does an entrepreneur play in a market economy? Explain.

  2.   3. Today I will be assessed on the standards learned during the 3rd nine weeks because this will allow me and my teacher to determine my strengths and weaknesses on these standards.

  4. Essential Questions • How do the unitary, confederation, and federal government systems distribute power? • How do the traditional, command, and market economies answer the economic questions of (1) what to produce, (2) how to produce, and (3) for whom to produce?

  6. Assignment for early finishers • Complete the chart • Write an opinion essay explaining which type of system you would like to live under and why.
