Element of the day
Element of the day

  • 76 – Osmium – Os

  • Osmium is the hardest metal element, and is at least as expensive as rhenium.

  • Osmium and iridium are alloyed in an incredibly hard and wear resistant material that was used in fountain pens and phonograph needles.
