  2. THE FIRST PAIR OF Soccer CLEATS • The first recorded pair of soccer cleats were created in 1526 by a shoe company named GREAT WARDROBE • This pair was actually ordered by King Henry VII of England

Interesting facts • The first ever soccer cleats did not have tacks on the bottom • The first ever cleat company was called Golait was founded in 1904 • Adidas was founded in 1924 by two German brothers named Adolf and Rudolf Dassler • Adidas had a rough time and the company was broke, Rudolf left Adidas and created his own company Puma

The advances of puma • Rudolf was getting results as sales were really high and his brother got Adidas back on its feet • Puma made the first pair of cleats with interchangeable tacks this pair was called "Puma Atom” • By 1966 75% of soccer players wore Adidas cleats which meant they took over the market again

Conclusion • Now this is a multi-million industry • There are many more brands like Nike , Adidas, Puma, Diadora, Umbro, Lotto, And even Under Armour • There is new technology in the cleats to enhance the players skills • Modern cleats come in all styles, colors and designs • If I was a designer I would make cleats that were lighter and more models
