2. ASSIST is a free app. • It provides teachers with the ability to • Use any camera enabled iOS device (iPhone/iPod Touch/iPad to grade multiple choice assessments instantly • Allows you to disaggregate the data right away • Provides teachers with a FREE scantron.

3. Here’s how it works! • To download the ASSIST app go to www.allinlearning.com • Click on the “GetStarted" icon at the top of the page • Click “ASSIST” App. • It will take you to iTunes and walk you through downloading the app onto your device.

4. Here’s how to use it! • Go back to the Get Started Tab • Choose ASSIST App • Then look to the right and choose “Bubble Sheet” • The Bubble Sheet will appear on the right.

5. Print a Bubble Sheet • Print one sheet. • These sheets can be run off on a copy machine. • The sheets can be laminated, and used over and over with a dark colored vis-à-vis® marker. • Have students use a pencil to choose answers and then go over answers with a dark colored marker.

6. How to Grade with ASSIST • Create your Answer Sheet by bubbling the correct answers • Find the ASSIST App. on the iTouch/iPhone

7. Downloading your answers • After downloading the app. The screen will show you some choices. • Choose , "Create a New Blue Print." • Choose, "Summative Assessment." • Touch Done. • Touch Summative Assessment. • Touch the "Name" area. • Type in a name. • Follow the instructions on the screen. • Answer Key should appear

8. Get ready to grade • Touch Blueprint at the top left of the screen • Touch Assist at the top left of the screen • Touch Activate a Blueprint • Touch the latest Blueprint (Feb.3)

9. Start grading • Choose the number of students • Hint. Choose five more students than you might need. • You may need to rescan a few tests. • Click "Begin" • If you get stuck, see the video at www.allinlearning.com

10. Grading the test • Save Images ? • Yes • Line up first test in the field of view. • Click the camera icon at the bottom.

11. Determining the grade • You will see the following message • To apply the scanned grades select one of the students from the available list • Touch “Ok” • Touch Student 1. • A score should appear. • Back to camera

12. Next student • Take a picture of the next test. • Touch student • Score appears • Back to camera

13. What’s this orange number? • What if an orange number appears next to the hand on the side? • The camera couldn’t read all or part of the answer sheet • Touch the hand icon • Press student selected answer choices • This may take some interpretation

14. When you are finished grading • Touch End Scoring • Touch “Yes” • Go to bottom of new screen • Touch results • This will give you an analysis of how students did on each question as a class

15. What’s the grade? • To see the test grade for each student • go to bottom of screen and touch students • It will tell you how each student did by number • Record the grade inyour grade book

16. Caution • When you are finished • Touch “Done” • Touch “End” • WARNING!!!! • DO NOT CLICK “End” – unless you are finished! • DO NOT CLICK “End Footprint” – unless you are finished! • Student information will be lost • You will need to start over
