  2. We use our manners in the cafeteria when we use polite language. Polite language is saying “please,” “thank you,” and “excuse me”.

  3. We use our manners in the cafeteria when we are respectful to adults and other students.

  4. We use our manners in the cafeteria when we stay in our assigned seat and raise our hand when we need help.

  5. We use our manners in the cafeteria when we use our quiet inside voices.

  6. We use our manners in the cafeteria when we have appropriate conversations with our friends.

  7. Mouths Silent Eyes on Speaker Feet Still Hands Still Ears Listening We use our manners in the cafeteria when we raise our hand and show the “Give Me 5” sign when we see staff raising their hand and showing the sign.

  8. We use our manners in the cafeteria when we eat with our silverware when we should, and when we eat with our fingers when we eat finger foods.

  9. We use our manners in the cafeteria when we eat our own food.

  10. We use our manners in the cafeteria when we chew our food with our mouth closed.

  11. We use our manners in the cafeteria when we use a napkin to wipe our hands and face.

  12. We use our manners in the cafeteria when we clean up after ourselves. This means picking up our trash on the table and floor.

  13. In Mrs. Ridgeway’s class we use our manners in the cafeteria. We are safe, respectful, responsible learners in the cafeteria.
