CHINESISCHER NATIONALCIRCUS

Gala Team of the Chinese National Circus 2010

CHINESISCHER NATIONALCIRCUS

This team of 10 members of the famous Chinese National Circus can deliver nearly 17 different acts for TV, Special Event and Gala requests.

We like to introduce 10 of their strongest acts with this following presentation.

CHINESISCHER NATIONALCIRCUS

THE LEGENDARY & FAMOUS CHINESE NATIONAL CIRCUS PRENSENTS THE ACROBATIC WISDOM OF THE MIDDLE KINGDOM

  • The history of Chinese artistry is ancient. Very ancient – more than 2000 years have passed since its beginnings. It originally served to impress God, then the emperor and the imperial household. Compared to this, the history of the Chinese National Circus is relatively recent. It is 20 years, after the "divinely gifted bodies", since André Heller first made the Chinese National Circus famous in Europe. And neither God nor emperor, but rather more than 9 million people throughout Europe have since thrilled to this magnificent Chinese show. The producer and organiser Raoul Schoregge himself occupied a key position under André Heller and can look back on a long, friendly and successful collaboration with the Chinese artistes.

  • Year after year he creates a new stage spectacular to offer audiences exciting and astonishing insights into the little-known culture of China. It is impossible to conceive of the European entertainment scene without his acrobatic fairy tales, which have become a universal trademark. They have frequently focused on historic personalities, such as GENGHIS KHAN and his wild hordes or THE LAST EMPEROR, a figure on the threshold between traditional and modern China. By contrast MULAN embodied girl power with a Far Eastern flavour and MARCO POLO seduced audiences with a delightful mystery tour through the Middle Kingdom. The highly praised BUDDHA was dedicated more to the spiritual.

  • The last two productions CONFUCIUS & TAO were very much in the Chinese National Circus tradition. But still the question will stay, what does an ancient Chinese philosopher have to do with a modern stage show? Well, nothing actually. Or in the case of the current programmes, a great deal. The famous 'sayings' not only serve as an accompaniment to each breathtaking act, they also underpin them, they help explain the artistes' amazing performances. As the Confucian saying goes, "Before beginning, you must have your heart, hand and thoughts in all your muscles."

  • The artistes exercise an astonishing control over their bodies and all the body's muscles, tendons, bones and joints. In its lightness, what they do is less a question of gymnastics, more one of art. There is no hint of violence, perspiration or breathlessness. What enables this apparent weightlessness is not the curve of bulging biceps, but an incredible discipline and a singular spiritual energy. The complete mastery of their strength is complemented by the ability always to have this strength fully at their disposal. Added to this is the considered and careful use of the body's power, weight and speed. Its weight is used as a balance, its power to counteract the laws of nature with a maximum of suppleness. The body does not annul the earth's pull, it overcomes it by using its own power sparingly.

  • In this way the show "CONFUCIUS" confirms the ancient wisdom, "Only the balance of forces leads to harmony." A truly Confucian virtue!

  • The Chinese, as we all know, bring the best artists in the world to the stage. That which is offered up by the members of the Chinese National Circus is, however, more than just a set of accomplished circus acts. They deserve to be seen as genuine works of art. They are works of physical art spanning strength and Confucius or Laotse.
