Regional Seminar on Developing A Program for the Implementationof the2008 SNA and Supporting Statistics11-13 September 2013 / Ankara – Turkey ImplementationStudiesfor NACE • TURKSTAT compiles and disseminates quarterly GDP by activity and by expenditure, and quarterly estimates of GDP by income approach waslastpublished in 2006 in currentprices. • The GDP by activity is the main approach for the current quarterly estimates

Regional Seminar on Developing A Program for the Implementationof the2008 SNA and Supporting Statistics11-13 September 2013 / Ankara – Turkey ImplementationStudiesfor NACE • Reclassification of quarterly GDP series from NACE Rev.1.1 to NACE Rev.2 took place on the basis of SBS results on output for 2009. • 2009 SBS results had been classified according to both NACE Rev.1.1 and NACE Rev.2 • This allowed bridge tables to be constructed.

This tool was used extensively for the reclassification work. • For the time-series before 2009 back-casting based on transformation coefficients calculated for 2009.

Regional Seminar on Developing A Program for the Implementationof the2008 SNA and Supporting Statistics11-13 September 2013 / Ankara – Turkey ImplementationStudiesfor NACE We have been working on: • Recompilation according to NACE 2 QGDP series for 2009 – 2012 • Harmonization of GDP by expenditure calculation to new GDP by output estimates based on NACE Rev.2 • Harmonization of GDP by income calculation to new GDP by output estimates based on NACE Rev.2
