  18. • Executing Agency : GunungGedePangrango National Park (GGPNP) •Name of Project : Developing Collaborative Management of Cibodas Biosphere Reserve, West Java, Indonesia • No ITTO series : TFL-PD 019/10 Rev.2 (M) • Project Start : September 2011 •Duration: 24 months • Coverage Area : West Java – Indonesia

  19. Activities • To increase Stakeholders commitment for the effective CBR management; • To formulate Integrated management plan of CBR; • To enhanceCommunity awareness on the benefits of biosphere reserve to enhance their livelihood.

  20. Progress • Increased commitment among stakeholders in the CBR Area; • Formulated Re-Zoning of CBR; • Developed Integrated Management Plan of CBR (Management guideline for Core area, Buffer and transition zone); • Established Institutional arrangement of CBR .

Institutional arrangement of CBR • Communication Forum for CBR management established by the Decree of Governoor of West Java No. 522.51/Kep.157-BKPPW I/2010on January, 21st2010. • The Members are: National Gov., Local Gov., University, NGO’s, PrivateandCommunities. • Consist of 3 Commissions :1) Conservation, Education & Research; 2)Community Development; 3)Sustainable Development.

  26. Recommendation • Implementing CBR integrated management plan; • Strengthening the role of each stakeholder, including funding schemes, monitoring and evaluation system; • Increasing commitment among the parties; • Enhancingcommunities economic in the Buffer and transition zone.
