  3. PAM PILOT (two terms) WHY Recognise need for more EWS input in Primary Schools. Schools need to be helped to do more to manage and promote attendance. WHO 5 Education Welfare Services Department of Education 10 Primary Schools WHAT Education Welfare Officers and schools worked together to develop a resource pack which would help other schools to manage and promote their attendance. EVALUATION All schools improved attendance ranging between 0.2% and 11.8%

PAM IN ACTION • EWO talks to whole school staff • Talks about % school attendance. • Introduces materials in PAM. • Listen to their issues about attendance. • Explains role of Education Welfare Service EWO Meets with Principal and Introduces PAM Review Statistics • Ewo and School Team decide what approach to take • Attendance policy/review. • Leaflets. • Attendance Week. • Target specific groups. • School and EWO • Get attendance statistics pre-PAM • Project starts Parents Pupils informed
