John the Baptist • His birth were the first announcement by God to His children in 400 years • He was a non-conformist to the most extreme • Ministered in remote places, did not seek or accept the comforts of man, had a mission • Sensitive to the Holy Spirit from birth • No greater men have lived (Luke 7:28) • Is part of the official ordination of Jesus (Matt 3:13)

  4. Satan Temps Jesus • Shortly after the celebration of baptism, the challenges start (Matt 4:1-11, Mark 1:12-13, Luke 4:1:13) • Meet your physical need Jesus • Defend who you are, and whose you are • The offer of power – simply bow to me

Calling all disciples • Very quick reminder – how to interview a disciple (Luke 5:1:11) • Bent for action, no slow to respond • Because You said so, I will • Gather others to support in the harvest • Give credit where credit is due • Recognize your depravity and His divinity • Are you willing to give up all you know to follow?
