Features of Admission Process • First three Rounds through Centralized Allotment Process by Direct Allotment on the basis of aggregate marks only. • Fourth Round by Counseling process on the basis of aggregate marks only at the institute level. • 70% seats for Home District candidates and 30% Seats for Other than Home District candidates. (Excluding home district) • Provisions of defense, physically handicapped and 30% ladies reservation. DTE?RO?ABAD?2010

  4. Eligibility Criteria: Basic Educational Qualification To be eligible for admission, the candidate should be • Indian National • have Passed the SSC ( Std. X ) examination of Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent examination have secured minimum 50% marks (45% for backward class candidates from Maharashtra) DTE?RO?ABAD?2010

Types of Maharashtra State candidates Type A Candidates Passing VIII, IX, & X examination from a recognized school in Maharashtra State Type B Candidates Passing VIII, IX, & X examination from recognized school situated outside Maharashtra Stateand Candidate, candidates’ Father / Mother/Husband is domiciled in the state of Maharashtra. Type C Candidates Passing VIII, IX, & X examination from a recognized school situated outside Maharashtra State and Sons and Daughters of Central Govt. / Govt. of India Undertaking employee posted in Maharashtra & reported the duty before last date for submitting the application form. Type D Candidates Passing VIII, IX, & X examination from a recognized school situated outside Maharashtra State and Sons and daughters of Maharashtra State Govt. / undertaking employee reported for duty in Maharashtra state after completion of deputation period outside Maharashtra DTE?RO?ABAD?2010

Types of Maharashtra State candidates Type E Candidates Passing VIII, IX, & X examination from a recognized school in Maharashtra State and Sons and daughters of Maharashtra State Govt. / Maharashtra State Govt. undertaking employee /Employee themselves who is transferred and reported for duty to a place in another University area from the place of passing the qualifying examination of the candidate before the last date for submitting the application form and the candidate intends to shift to the University area where the Father / Mother /candidate are posted.   8. Reservation Policy • For Backward Class Candidates ** 2% seats will be reserved for SBC category from theseats (if) remained vacant in reserved category DTE?RO?ABAD?2010

  9. For Physically Handicapped category candidates Provision : 3% of sanctioned intake seats These seats are allotted in home district quota (70%) The disability should be more than 40% • Blind/ Visually impaired candidates (P1) –1% • Speech & Hearing impaired candidates (P2)-1% • Orthopedic Disorders and Learning Disabilities, Dyslexia, Dyscalculia, Dysgraphia, Spastic (P3)-1% DTE?RO?ABAD?2010

For Sons and Daughters of Defence Personnel category candidates 5% seats will be reserved for candidates under defense personnel category subject to a maximum of five seats.** This provision is not available for children of civilian staff in defense service.These seats are allotted in home district quota (70%) DTE?RO?ABAD?2010

  11. Reservation for Female Candidates • 30%seats are reserved for female candidates and are available for 70% as well as 30% quota. • This reservation is applicable with in all categories viz SC, ST, VJ/DT(NT-A) , NT-B, NT-C, NT-D and OBC DTE?RO?ABAD?2010

  12. Seats availability • Candidates willing to take admission in unaided polytechnics (other than included in CAP) will have to apply to respective polytechnics, separately. DTE?RO?ABAD?2010

Max. 10% of sanctioned intake per branch/course • Applicable to EWS, ladies & physically handicapped. • For EWS (Economic weaker section) income upto 2.5 Lakh (The income certificate up to Rs. 2.5 lakh issued after 1st April 2009 issued by Tahsildar / Sub Div. Officer / Deputy collector / Collector) • For others there is no income limit. • Amount is limited to tuition fee. • Candidates getting admission through this scheme are not eligible for change of branch/course Tuition fee wavier scheme of AICTE DTE?RO?ABAD?2010

  15. Relative Merit in case of Tie Incase of same ssc total of candidates the priorities for higher merit will be 1. Candidate secured higher % in maths at ssc 2. Candidate secured higher % in science at ssc 3. Candidate secured higher % in English at ssc 4. Candidate passing HSC (10+2) 5. Candidate passing HSC with MCVC 6. Candidate passing ITI trade of 2 years 7. Candidate passing intermediate drawing 8. Date of birth of Candidate DTE?RO?ABAD?2010

CAP Stages : • Stage I – Sale of information brochure along with Application kit at ARCs • Stage II – Filling up of Online Application form on website www.dte.org.in/poly2009, for each of the CAP rounds I/II/III by eligible candidates. • Stage III – Confirmation of Online Option Form for each of the CAP rounds I/II/III by the eligible candidate in person at ARC only • Stage IV – Display of provisional Merit List on website www.dte.org.in/poly2009, indicating State Merit No, Home District Merit No, State Category Merit No, etc. • Stage V – Display of Provisional Allotment indicating allotment after each of the CAP rounds I/II/III on the website www.dte.org.in/poly2009 and at the ARC • Stage VI –Reporting to the institute as per allotment of the CAP rounds I/II/III and confirmation of admission by the candidate • Stage VII – Conduction of CAP round-IV i.e. admission round by counseling.   18. Rules of admission through centerlised admission process (CAP) • There will be four rounds for admission- First three rounds will be through CAP- The fourth round will be conducted by counseling. DTE?RO?ABAD?2010

Document Verification and Confirmation of online application form at the Application form Receipt Centers (ARCs) by eligible candidates.3. Display of Merit List of candidates who have confirmed the online Application Form for centralized Admission process for admission to Diploma on website http://www.dte.org.in/poly20094. Fill in and confirm the Online Option Form (s) for CAP Round(s) I/II/III (by candidates eligible to participate in these CAP rounds) on the website www.dte.org.in/poly2009. DTE?RO?ABAD?2010
