  8. Year 3 Green Evaluation information as a tool and learning as a goal Findings There are fewer new green jobs than expected, but more traditional occupations are incorporating green practices. Training programs need to adapt to meet the evolving needs. Existing training programs have stronger capacity to deliver services and develop employer relationships and ultimately, are more likely to be successful than newer organizations that start green training with limited workforce development experience. There are now better conversations-more focused conversations. Failure is an unavoidable part of the learning process.

  9. Learnings

  10. “Green” Competitive Edge We are starting to get more hybrid vehicles into the shop as they come out of warranty.  More manufacturers are making Hybrid vehicles and the training is quite valuable.  If an entry level technician is not aware of the safety aspects of Hybrids they can get into trouble even when performing an oil change.   The background in hybrid vehicles will give the PACE students a competitive edge over others who have not been exposed to hybrids.– PACE Employer Partner Hotel Training Center (HTC) Green Curriculum Youth Build Boston (YBB) – Green Building
